Team Giuliana Rancic for Life!

Monday nights newest episode of The Fashion Police on the E channel was all about the 2015 Oscars and of course someone got offended. Giuliana Rancic made a comment about Zendaya’s “look” and Zandaya went right to social media like a mature adult and wrote all about it. For those of you who have no idea who Zendaya is or what she wore, basically Rancic was referring to her very bohemian style and dreadlocks on the red carpet when she said Zendaya looked like “she smells like patchouli oil or weed”.  Zendaya looked drop dead gorgeous in her gown, but I can not remember anyone ever sporting dreadlocks at the Oscars, and that was really what Rancic was getting at. The Oscars has always been very old Hollywood glamorous, so the dreadlocks (even though they looked amazing) just threw everyone off. Not to mention Giuliana isn’t from America and understands how hurtful stereotyping and racism can be. When has she ever said anything offensive in the past? Lemme think… Never.

More important issues when it came to the Oscars though:

Joan Rivers was not in the Oscar 2015 Memorial video and that is not okay. Still being on team Ranic, I agree with her comments on this issue completely!

Rancic lifted up both of her middle fingers and said: “And screw them (the Academy) anyway for leaving Joan out of the In Memoriam segment.”

You’re my girl, G! Keep being you!

Elijah Berzy

Elijah Berzy, that would be my name Travoltafied!

By now you are probably very aware what I am talking about. I realize it’s been about a week since since all the tongue tangled tomfoolery began, but it is still funny! Especially with apps out to Travoltafy your name, comedians doing their own spin on the mess-up, and just watching Mr. Travolta botch up Idina Menzel’s name; it will never not be funny!

All I keep thinking is, how?! Between the pre-show run through, having her name right in front of you, being an actor, and the fact that it was the infamous Idina Menzel… how could someone mess up her name? It’s not like she’s a nobody. She was in a film that received two oscars that night! That’s two more than Leonardo DiCaprio and I have combined!

I guess we’ll never know what was on Travolta’s mind that night, so all we can do is get a good chuckle out of it! Let me help you with that…

Click HERE to Travoltafy your name! ( at the bottom of that page you can also watch the video of him butchering her name)

Also, this is a video of my FAVORITE comedian impression!

Danny Zuko isn’t so suave anymore, is he?

86th Academy Awards Fashion Favorites

I don’t know about you, but I started watching the 2014 Oscars at about 1pm yesterday. No one should be surprised that I’m just as interested in the fashion as I am in the wins! So I narrowed down my list to my top three most dazzling fashionistas of the night!

2nd Runner up goes to…

Image

Julia Roberts is America’s original sweetheart for more than one reason, but I think we can all agree that she is flawless. I was SO excited to see her in this Givenchy gown! Her most popular accessory- her smile- was also with her. That smile may be a reason why I loved her look so much last night. Let’s not forget that this was her first public appearance since the death of her sister, which is probably why she got so emotional during “The Wind Beneath My Wings.” Back to the fashion… I wasn’t surprised she wore black, but the lace overlay was SO elegant, especially over her chest! The peplum is always a hit or miss, but her’s was the perfect length and fit her like a glove. Hair, make up, earrings… all stunning!

First Runner up is..

Lupita Nyong’o was a goddess in that blue Prada dress! It was exciting to see her in something not so structured, but still perfectly fitted to her. I can’t imagine how many designers are begging her to wear their dresses! She is definitely a new It Girl who I have been following lately. She never has a miss! Double kudos to her for winning her first Oscar!!

And the winner is…

Kate Hudson was PERFECTION in Atelier Versace! My jaw is still dropping! The neckline, the cape, the shoulders, the color, the fit, the train… I can’t describe without saying perfection! Just the way the twist in the front contours her body and compliments the flow of the cape is, again, perfect. Without the cape, I think, it would have been too much skin, but she worked that cape! Seeing a dress like this makes me know I am definitely in the right major because I am obsessed! If she wore this to every red carpet event in the future, I wouldn’t complain.

It’s Okay to be the Loser

Majority of people base their lives around winning, but when you’re the beautiful Leo DiCaprio does it really matter how many Oscars you have sitting on your mantle? If you weren’t watching the Oscars last night or decided to live under a rock today let me get you up to date. That number is still zero. One of the most amazing actors of all time who has been in some of the most incredible movies ever still does not have an Oscar! But a round of applause for the Academy for selecting the lead in How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days, bravo! Nothing against Mr. McConaughey, I think he’s great, but he is no Leo DiCaprio and never will be. As heartbreaking as this all is, my heart will go on…
